Pathways Back to Work - for Older People

South Western Sydney Institute of TAFE NSW, with the support of the Australian Human Rights Commission will be facilitating an Expo aimed at engaging with Mature-aged (50+ years), unemployed persons in the community to offer individualised support in fostering pathways (back) into employment.

The Expo will provide opportunities for mature-age, unemployed individuals to:

- Determine if they can receive recognition for life skill, qualifications and work experience

- Meet with representatives and teachers from various faculty study areas to gain more information about employment choices and learning pathways

- Access information on additional support services (career counselling, Centrelink, literacy and numeracy assessment, disability support)

- Speak with mature-aged students about their experiences studying at TAFE and the workplace and take a look at the TAFE environment.

A free bus service will be available to and from the collegeas requested.  Free on-site parking will also be made available to attendees.

Please encourage appropriate people to Register Online (or via phone on 9780 5526) so that we may gauge numbers and better cater the day.

We are happy to arrange for flyers and posters to be distributed to you, for your students or you may wish to print the attached flyer to display in your section.

Kind regards,
